Can you add multiplayer?
technically I could but in practice it's too much problem ๐
I want to concentrate on finishing it up for singleplayer first no matter what ๐ค

zortch rules and so does this, my only complaint really is that its hard to tell enemies apart in this one. idk if im just moving too fast, but i think the colors of the characters in particular make it difficult to tell them apart this time around. they're mostly all dark gray and white, whereas last time you had vibrant purples, greens and blues etc. its just hard to tell in a game this fast T_T
yea it's a problem with my texture baking - they came out too flat ๐
I rebaked them since then so hopefully in the final version it won't be such a problem ๐ค
coming here from next fest, such a great time.
only qualm I had was setting up controls for my controller but that was very easy to do!
this game seems it needs a dinosaur like enemy or an open map where it's all out chaos with npcs fighting each other ;)
that was actually the intention but I screwed up ๐
the dinos get placed but their ai attacks anything non-dino before you get to meet them ๐ญ
and get invisibly slaughtered offscreen - greatly reducing enemy count in the last area ๐ค
lol cool, hope you fix the bug if that's the case
Putting my comment here since I can't figure out how to review the Steam demo.
The graphics are nicer, the best parts of the first game's gameplay are preserved, even if the movement physics feel a *little* different, and I prefer the revolver and machine gun here to their closest counterparts in 1.
That said, I'd be lying if I didn't prefer the first game's art direction. Generally for being more cartoonish and Nintendo-console FPS feeling, but especially with the shotgun.
Literally every other weapon is either an improvement or at least equal looks-wise, but the shotgun just does not feel as cool as it did in the first game visually.
I also kinda prefer the character designs/proportions of the 1st games huminoids, but the new ones still look good overall.
In other words, this is shaping up to be an overall amazing sequel to an already amazing first game... even if I desperately hope you make the shotgun look more like it did in the first game, because the new look just isn't it imo.

the movement was indeed rewritten from the ground up - for better or worse
I tried to make it feel as close as possible but only somewhat succeeded ๐ค
(the old physics were tied to 60fps and these new ones run at 250fps)
I guess with the better graphics some of the charm was lost
but it's not intentional they are just made with a a different technique ๐ค
(main difference is that the 3D models are not hand painted this time)
Yeah, understandable...
I still hope that you make the shotgun a *little* more like the old design. 2's shotgun feels like a thin and dainty stick as opposed to the more powerful and stocky look of 1's shotgun.
it's tricky - as from side and other views it looks ok - it's that damn fps view where all these guns fall apart ๐
dont like the movement.. let me keep my momentum :(
alas these are the two major complaints about movement:
too much momentum or too much inertia ๐ค
some people feel your feet is glued - some feel you are sliding on ice
I think I balanced it out just well enough to make everyone mad ๐
bonus points for finding the forklift ๐คญ๐
Very fun! I like the level design, lots of fun to be had with the rocket launcher's secondary fire, and the revolver is really fun, too. It was a fun challenge getting the forklift to the end, too.I feel like this a good mixture of building on the first game, without deviating too much.

if you work a new engine , plan to add mod weapons or boarderland weapons like with attribute on weapons ? bye
I plan on modding in the future - but engine is not quite there yet ๐ค
I'm not into weapon attributes myself so I won't be adding any of that ๐ค
